Class Description:
 
Our kettlebell classes are designed for both beginner and novice skill levels. The goal is to train the body in intelligent, focussed movement, with kettlebells as our main tool. Classes may also include erg rowing, pull ups, bodyweight exercises or sled work.

 

We spend most of our time on compound, fundamental movements: push, pull, hinge, squat, and getting up and down off the floor. These are movement forms that translate to any training modality (barbells, dumbbells, bodyweight exercises etc.). It is a continual practice in recruiting and building strength by working many muscles at once in a safe, progressive manner.

 

We focus on mobility first. Mobility is the application of strength through a range of motion. Once mobility is in the correct range for the joints, it’s a lot easier to add strength and endurance. In each class, we work to undo the chair-like posture and nagging pains that we experience so often throughout our days!

 

Each class lasts 45 minutes. The intensity level is low to moderate, prioritizing the practice of proper form above all.

 

Whether you use kettlebells, barbells, or a combination of both in your training, building efficient and lasting strength will make you a healthier and more functional human for all the things you enjoy doing in life!
